ARK 2 was recently announced at The Game Awards, and while most players are just surprised and bewildered at Vin Diesel's inclusion in the trailer, the trailer did show off a few of the iconic dinosaurs that will be returning for the sequel. The original ARK is all about taming dinosaurs and using them to make surviving on the Island easier, so it shouldn't be that shocking that fans of the franchise want to know what dinosaurs will be in the game. The trailer didn't confirm too many yet, but there are some that are easy to miss after watching the trailer just o

Way, way back in the early 2000s, while promoting the original Fable , designer Peter Molyneux famously proclaimed that the world of Fable would respond to player input like no other game before. He famously promised that players could knock acorns off of trees and that those acorns would eventually grow into acorns themselves. Now, Molyneux is famous for over-promising and has even apologized for doing

Colorful characters are encountered along the way that assist in your travels. These characters range from mildly amusing to surprisingly developed. One of the most emotional relationships in the game is with your horse Seren. As she’s with you every step of the way, willing to march into danger at your command, a surprising bond is quickly formed. Camps are periodically reached where, among other things, Seren can be feed, healed and cleaned. Touches like these really go along way to ensure she’s not rendered a lifeless form of transportation.

Max Payne may be a high-octane action game, complete with Matrix -style slow-mo shootouts, but the game is about as dark as a video game can get. One particular level in the original Max Payne is outright scary, as Max has a drug-induced nightmare and is forced to relive the horrific moments when his wife and newborn baby were murdered by crazed drug addicts. This twisted dream sequence includes a perilous walk on a tightrope made of blood as Max hears the pleading screams of his dead wife and baby echoing in the dista

For those that didn't see the ARK 2 trailer at The Game Awards, it is looking to be a more story oriented game. Vin Diesel leads his tribe through a pre-historic jungle before they are attacked by what seems to be a rival tribe. While fighting them off, and unexpected guest shows up and makes things more complicated. In the ensuing chase scene, Vin Diesel and a young child run past several other types of dinosaurs, all of which can be assumed to be in the final game. Naturally, anything could change between now and teh game's release so technically nothing is confirmed, but it's a safe bet that these dinos will make the

This is more of a conjectural statement based on current market trends and the history of the franchise than anything I've specifically read, but it's safe to say that a new, full-blown Fable game will have an enormous scope. Even the original Fable , released way back in 2004, had an enormous gameworld by the standards of the time, rivaling even the Elder Scrolls games, maybe not in landmass, but in how much stuff there was to

The very first shot in the ARK 2 reveal trailer shows an exotic looking flower only to reveal that it is fact some kind of dinosaur. Its long nose looks like a flower just before it blooms, and it is apparently capable of opening its snout to camouflage with other nearby flowers. After it closes the flower on its nose, viewers can see more of the creature's face, revealing chameleon like eyes and a lizard like body. Its tail and back spines are also made to look like leaves, ensuring that nothing can recognize it as an ani

Fable Heroes feels like a cash grab in the truest sense of the word — a game that has no business carrying the Fable moniker. While each entry in the franchise does fall short of some lofty expectations , they at least aspire to do something original. Fable Heroes , on the other hand, gets a few things right, but they're not worth your t

If there ever was a game designer that should not talk about his games prior to their release date, it's Peter Molyneux. When discussing his projects, Molyneux has a childlike sense of excitement where he will enthusiastically share details on his grand ambitions for the title. This is actually quite refreshing in itself, because who doesn't enjoy hearing someone passionately discuss their creative projects? The problem with this occurs when the game in question is actually released. The game itself could be good, even great if it were simply judged for what it is, but disappointment is going to happen when a title fails to deliver on lofty promises no matter how good it may otherwise. The most memorable example of Molyneux creating hype that the game couldn't live up to was 2004's Xbox exclusive action RPG Fable.

What better way to reinvent a gaming franchise than taking away the controller? It’s a risky proposition to turn one of the most successful Xbox franchises into a Kinect-only title, but that’s exactly what’s been done with Fable. Instead of producing a family-friendly mini-game based game, however, Lionhead Studios have created a full-blown [https://adventurequestlog.com/ adventure game puzzles|https://adventurequestlog.com/] that manages to rival the main canon in scope. Not only is Fable: The Journey an evolution of the series, but a crucial experiment to see if Kinect can manage to produce a story-driven experience with nothing but the player’s body.
