We now know it as the Wii</del>-<del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">- a less than threatening name that is more suited to Nintendo's goals. "Revolution" served as a wonderful project title filled </del>with <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">mystery and excitement. However, according to Reggie Fils-Aime, it would not translate well under many other languages. Plus, a name like that would have probably caused an uproar from Americans stating </del>the <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">Japanese are out to get them again. That didn't happen...</del>at <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">least to my knowledge. Wii is friendlier and less menacing. Nintendo was right about </del>the <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">Wii's original namesake, it did cause quite the revolution in the video game industry because of its highly advanced motion sensor system.</del>

<del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">To get a full sense of just how much time has passed without any update, we have to go </del>all the <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">way back to E3 2011, where </del>the <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">studio</del>'s <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">Jurassic Park adaptation was on display. While dinosaurs were </del>the <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">main attraction</del>, <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">the developer did adorn their booth </del>with a <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">poster for their upcoming King's Quest reboot </del>, <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">although they weren't speaking on specifics (since </del>that <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">project doesn't seem to be progressing</del>, <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">we no know w

When Telltale Games announced that they would </del>be <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">bringing Fables , an adaptation of the Vertigo graphic novel series to gamers everywhere, it was hard to know what to expect. That was before The Walking Dead </del>made <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">the studio one of the most impressive in the realm of video game writing , not </del>to <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">mention undisputed masters of episodic relea</del>

Leading up to E3, the Game Rant team put together a pair of lists of our most anticipated confirmed games E3 2011 and our most anticipated rumored games . Several of the rumored games did end up being showcased at the annual Los Angeles event, but were our hopes and anticipation justif

<del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">San Diego Comic</del>-<del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">Con 2010 </del>is <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">almost upon us</del>, and <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">that means </del>it<del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">'s time </del>for <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">all the biggest news </del>and <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">announcements in comics</del>, <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">film, television, anime</del>, and <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">gaming -- which is gaining </del>a <del style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">larger presence each year. For those </ins>that <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">have pre-purchased from Steam</ins>, <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">there will </ins>be <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">5 exclusive tattoo sets as well as 4 legendary weapons </ins>made <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">available </ins>to <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">your H</ins>

Leading up to E3, the Game Rant team put together a pair of lists of our most anticipated confirmed games E3 2011 and our most anticipated rumored games . Several of the rumored games did end up being showcased at the annual Los Angeles event, but were our hopes and anticipation justif

<ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">Oftentimes, the other concern, when discussing ported games, is the controls. Lionhead claimed that this was their number one priority in building the PC version of the game. They completely reconfigured the control system for the PC </ins>- <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">taking advantage of key things like the mouse wheel (which </ins>is <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">used to switch between magic, guns</ins>, and <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">swords, similar to how </ins>it <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">is used in shooters to switch weapons). The game controls well, and even </ins>for <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">a native Xbox player I found it easy to pick up </ins>and <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">play. Of course</ins>, <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">the game also supports gamepads</ins>, and <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">using the 360 controller offered </ins>a <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">equivalent experience to playing on the X

It </ins>looks <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">like there's a lot more to look forward </ins>to <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">this month</ins>, with <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">more releases on the PS4 and Xbox One. Although it won't be until March that the next-gen titles start pouring in</ins>, <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">February should have many releases to keep gamers occupied. As for me</ins>, <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">I'll be counting </ins>the <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">days until Thief releases on St</ins>

<ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">In an interview with Digital Spy </ins>, <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">Head of Lionhead Studios John Needham explained that this new online direction for </ins>the <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">studio isn't going to be exclusive to Fable Legends . Following the departure of Peter Molyneux , Needham - who has an MMO pedigree - took over the studio in his stead. With that pedigree</ins>, <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">he said that all future games from the studio will boast "connected" aspects. The only question remains: just how much progress has the studio made, and how big an influence will The Walking Dead 's success have? The developers are certainly not the type to twist other games to capitalize on another's success, but there's no reason the art style or advertising couldn't be tied into their most successful game e

Welcome to the first day of Game Rant's E3 2010 coverage. The first big event of the show, Microsoft's press conference, is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM Pacific Time. No doubt there will be a ton of information on the newly named Kinect . But what else? Will we see the rumored Xbox 360 Slim ? Any new news on Halo: Reach or Gears of War 3 ? And what surprises are in st

Yet despite that success, there have still been no substantial announcements on what the studio has planned for Bill Willingham's comic series. If a cryptic tweet from Telltale's Twitter account is any indication, that may be about to cha

But what stood out more to this comic book fan was the poster featuring little more than the title 'Fables' and a looming silhouette of a werewolf. So, it was assumed that Telltale would be focusing on the fairy tale graphic novel's Bigby (a.k.a.'The Big Bad Wolf); given the studio's experience with the likes of Puzzle Agent , building an adventure game around the sheriff of Fabletown made se

It was the console to beat all others. Nintendo announced its new system two years before its unveiling. It was named, "Revolution" and had everybody buzzing. We now know it as the Wii-- a less than threatening name that is more suited to Nintendo's goals. "Revolution" served as a wonderful project title filled with mystery and excitement. However, according to Reggie Fils-Aime, it would not translate well under many other languages. Plus, a name like that would have probably caused an uproar from Americans stating the Japanese are out to get them again. That didn't happen...at least to my knowledge. Wii is friendlier and less menacing. Nintendo was right about the Wii's original namesake, it did cause quite the revolution in the video game industry because of its highly advanced motion sensor system.

To get a full sense of just how much time has passed without any update, we have to go all the way back to E3 2011, where the studio's Jurassic Park adaptation was on display. While dinosaurs were the main attraction, the developer did adorn their booth with a poster for their upcoming King's Quest reboot , although they weren't speaking on specifics (since that project doesn't seem to be progressing, we no know w

When Telltale Games announced that they would be bringing Fables , an adaptation of the Vertigo graphic novel series to gamers everywhere, it was hard to know what to expect. That was before The Walking Dead made the studio one of the most impressive in the realm of video game writing , not to mention undisputed masters of episodic relea

Leading up to E3, the Game Rant team put together a pair of lists of our most anticipated confirmed games E3 2011 and our most anticipated rumored games .
